Blackbirds fledge
The three blackbird chicks have fledged this morning. Unfortunately due to the leaves over the camera we weren’t able to catch the fledging on camera. The three chicks have been around the garden being fed by both parents and we managed to get some video which we will upload a bit later.

Not long to go!
The female blackbird is still patiently incubating her 3 eggs thoughout the stormy weather we are having. Blackbirds normally incubate for around 13-14 days so that should be early next week. Keep up to date by watching the cameras and following our social media streams on Facebook and Twitter
Rainy day on the nest
It’s been a rainy day here and the female blackbird has spent most of it on her nest in the ivy keeping her eggs warm. Unfortunately the wind and rain has pushed some leaves in front of the camera lens. We will attempt to clear these if we can tomorrow.

Blackbird Nest – 2 eggs
Our blackbird nest now has 2 eggs in! The female spent around an hour and a half on the nest around midday, after which the 2 eggs were seen. We expect a couple more eggs over the next two days.
